 Cem was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey where he earned his BA in business management while he worked for the family business as a sales manager in charge of European clients. He moved to Chicago where he finished his MBA at DePaul University earning his degree in economics and international business then later moved to Minnesota.
Combining his solid business relationships with reputable Turkish companies and experience with international trade, Cem helped his business partner Soner realize his vision of serving the design community with unique environmentally friendly products. This is the philosophical foundation of Uson Design - a commitment to providing environmentally friendly, unique and high quality tile, stone, mosaic, fixtures and hardwood flooring to clients.
 Soner was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey where he worked for his family’s real estate development business as a warehouse clerk, HR supervisor, and accounting manager. He later started his own company importing catering appliances for industrial kitchens where he worked as the Director of Marketing. Soner moved to San Francisco and lived in the Bay Area where he finished his education earning a BBA in Marketing, MBA in HR, Marketing, and Management from Golden Gate University.
The idea for Uson Design started long before Soner moved to the U.S. and came to life with the help of his business partner Cem. Through Uson Design, Soner combines his construction experience with his love for the centuries-old tradition of tile making to bring innovative environmentally friendly products to the Midwest market.
